Default Twin turbo, possible?

ok, im about to start work on a huge project car right onw its a 94 civic ex about to have a b18c1 JSPEC in it. is it even possible to do a twin turbo setup? has it been done? hehe. also, whats the best way to run a sub 12.5 quarter mile without NOS. turbo, super what? im open for suggestions still pooling money. lol anothe question, what should i do to my engine if i want to run 15lb+ of boost. i know the stock engine will only take 7-8 but i want more power. hehe. i know i need low compression pistons, connecting rods but what else? ok im done now. THANKS!

you'll get all your answers by reading this board (trust me..i leared a lot from this board)..

but anyway..twin turbo is do-able. DRT's drag car is twin turbo..but is it an ideal setup? heck no...honda's are 4 cylinder...it doesn't like twin turbo. Besides, the more it doesn't mean the better..just get one huge turbo and it'll do better than 2 small ones

Although no authority on Turbo's, it makes sense that being a 4cyl, this means that 2 cyl's will be driving each turbo on their own. Now the B18C is all of 1.8L, so you're asking alot of a small engines, and in order for 2cyl to produce enough pressure to spin a turbine it'd either have to be a very small turbo or a very large engine. This is why Honda's use 1 turbo, effecieny. Sure it CAN be done, seen maybe 1 or 2 TT Honda's (granted these are mega dollar full sponsor backed engineering feats), but for the common racer, a single turbo setup is much more practical than trying to find a TT setup that works well.

the main problem with twin turboing a Honda is that there is no space for it. You could actually do it pretty efficiently with an H22a. Two small 40 trim T3's with standard exhaust wheel in a .36 housing would work. That's what I"m going to be using in my corolla setup and the motors are very similar in airflow and displacement. In your EX coupe you'd have to do a small build to achieve low 12 second passes safely. Pistons and rods would probably be enough. Also keep in mind youd have to have a good fuel system to keep up with the demands.
