Default turning to the dark side!

Whats up guys, I was planning on going all motor, but I decided that maybe turbo was the way to go. I have a b18c1 in a 96 ex coupe. I plan on getting a drag gen3 kit, which is a t3/t4 correct? Any ways I was just in the drag racing forum, and some one said that a t3/t4 is not good for a daily driven honda. He said they take too long to spool up. Do any of you have any comments regarding this issue? thanks.

Make your own judgement buy buying the turbo and deciding for youself. you wont be disapointed w/ the results.

I was going to go n/a too but then weighed the costs and fi and na are about the same if you want real hp. Im getting my gsr bored and sleeved by ge to 83mm, custom t3/t4 setup, 10:1 JE's, crower rods, balanced and deburred crank, spooled gsr tranny. I just hope that Im happy with the results. Looking to hit some 11's with some good slicks and my aem ems fully tuned. The costs of all this turbo stuff cost about the same as my anticipated na motor.

With that setup, good tuning, and slicks, you should have no problem hitting 11's.

Many people worry about the spooling issue, when you're at a track with slicks, you can preload the turbo, so it doesn't really matter what size you're running.

On the street, sure it might take longer to spool and boost, but if you're messing around with someone, since when are you lingering around the 2-3K range, eh? You're gonna be waiting in a low gear at like 5Krpm waiting for the guy to make his move. Dont' worry about spool time on the street either with a t3/t4.

Haha, it's not just as honda-tech meets. Just ask my friends....hah. It's fun to be turbo, but it's not too fun to be broke all the time. For me, the the advantages and disadvantages just about balance out. However....it's getting to the point where the disadvantages are creeping up.
