Default turboedit please help

ok i am planning on using turboedit on my b16 turbo setup i have:

b16a1
pr3 ecu
aebs intake manifold
type r crank pulley

i will be running a t3 turbo on 8 psi
i am new to the chipping and burning stuff so i need help

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

will this be able to program the chip?

also what chip do i need for the pr3? what number of pins is it?

if i am programming it myself, do i have to take the chip out of my pcm to make changes to it? does this mean i have to solder and resolder everytime?

also i have turboedit up and running on my pc... is there anything else i need besides a chip, burner, and the software?

what is ZIF?

thanks alot

that should work fine, looks like th eenhanced wilhem burner to me, a ZIF is a type of socket that you plug ships into.

look on ebay they have chipping sets, with directions and all yo need. cost like 15 bux, just type in civic chip and it will come up, yo udont have to use the chip but you can use all the hardware.

as long as you have all the software off the internet, you should be fine, its definetley and experience

no, you solder the ZIF socket in. ZIF == Zero Insertion Force, meaning you can drop in the chip and then push down the lever on the ZIF and it will lock the chip in. then when you burn an new chip, pull the lever up and switch them out.

this is a ZIF:

you should buy the "uberdata modification kit" it comes with everything you need to chip the ecu, including 1 programable chip and a ZIF, i would also get a few extra chips and their usb burner for ease of use.

uberdata kit: http://www.moates.net/product_...id=42

burner: http://www.moates.net/product_...id=48

edit: i don't know jack about obd0, so this may not be the right chipping kit.

It will not work, that ebay map will work fine but if u want to use TE to modify your map you will run in a problem, PR3 maps arent supported for boost in TE (correct me if im wrong blundar) You will need to run a pm6 or ps9. A ps0 is an auto pm6 that is able to convert to a one wire vtec (zdyne eat your hearts out) will a simple ng 58 bin. Pm me if you are intrested in more info

ps. I would recomend buying Xenocrons chipping kits, a good straight foware guy

u mean the pr3 map, no boost? you cannot covert that to boost. 7400 is the max rpm that the ecu uses to for a data value. after this it uses a linear factor and and just adjust by multiplying
