Icon3 Turbocharging a b16a

I am turboing my b16a in my 92 hatch but I was told I need to delete my idle air control , block it off, so I would have to get a tune right to delete it? But how would the car know how to idle without the sensor?

My iacv was screwed up so I was waiting to install my turbo kit till I got the idle fixed. So I seen a block off plate and asked what was up and the tech said if boost goes through the iacv it will screw it up cause the boost is unnatural. Or can I just get a tune and the iacv will not screw up once I install the turbo???

Get your engine working perfectly before you go putting boost to it. Fix any issues FIRST. You should get MUCH more familiar with what you're about to do to your engine so you can tell when stupid people are telling you stupid things.

Go buy some carb cleaner, pull the valve, soak it and spray it out with the cleaner and clean the screen in their. I've got a B16 on boost with a iacv never had any issues. Also if you boost its a good idea to delete the coolant lines to the iacv and your throttle body. just loop the hose that feeds into the throttle body with the hose that exits the iacv to the back side of the engine. This brings your intake air temps down.

There is no reason to delete the eacv on a street car they are really nice to have when tuning.

Keep the IACV because it'll idle like crap if you get rid of it. You can get rid of the FITV under the thermostat, but keep the IACV.
