Turbo this weekend, quick question and THEORY!
Ok, so I am doing all my piping this weekend and I plan to see how my car likes boost. I am going to be using an FMU (I know it's ghetto) and a NOS inline fuel pump (Hondata and 720's will be my first upgrade) .
So THEORETICALLY I just hook the fmu up with 12:1 disk on stock injectors, hoseclamp the fuel pump into my fuel line and that is my fuel enrichment? Seems kind of sketchy, I wish I had some sort of adjustment, I dont want a v-afc because I plan to get hondata SOON but I am too eager to boost and I can't afford it for another month or two.
Any of you guys using an fmu have tuning issues at all. I KNOW it won't run optimal but it should do the trick for now.
ANY INSIGHT, TIPS OR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

It's extremely helpful to have an in-car fuel pressure gauge. Without it, you can't really see if the FMU is ramping the fuel pressure up correctly and if your pump is keeping up.

The 12:1 FMU is fine for right now, just don't try and overboost. Keep it at at max under 7LBS of boost.

we all know Hondata or some type of standalone unit is ALWAYS better for a turbo'd car. however, the fmu has been used by many simple setups and it works. it may be a bandaid fuel setup.. but it does do the job.

Yeah, I am going to stay under 7psi because I have a jdm motor (10.6:1) I am pretty sure I will blow it up eventually, I just hope I can keep from getting boost happy for about 2-3 months when I can afford it!

I use the FMU 12:1 disk, msd inline pump, safc (which isen't tuned at all really yet), and stock injectors... at 7psi I run rich all day in boost... of course thats the autometer a/f telling me I'm running rich which I don't trust all that much, but whatever.
