Default Turbo water inlet????????????????

I have seen some turbos with a water inlet. Do you need to tap the block to run coolant to it? Are they application specific? It it an option?

Im only familiar with running an oil send and return line for a turbo.

You can either run the turbo coolant inline with the throttle body heater(bypass the t/b while you're at it), or you can tee into the heater core lines and run the turbo coolant in parallel.
