Default turbo with vtec=bad???

ok in some other forum when this question is asked, their always confusion and i'm never able to get any info.

so does a turbo on a vtec engine will be bad for the engine?? i also heard that it can brake the engine a lot faster, is it true?? don't you think that with a good electrical setting(fuel mapping, timing...) , turbo and vtec can be operate in a way that it produces more power, like if a turbo don't pushes it's max boost befor 5000rpm, may the vtec be used at a lower rpm to get some boost before the turbo??

I am here talking about a setup in wich:
-h23 block that will be sleeved
-h22 dohc vtec head, port/polished
-evry internal parts changed, and so... 10-15K$ investment on the engine/tranny and the swap will be done by myself

this is turbo ( showed an egg)
this is VTEC ( showed a hot frying pan)

this is your turbo on VTEC ( showed a scrambled eggs )

Sorry, just having fun. Whoever told you that turbo and vtec is bad is a moron. He prolly think VTEC is better with intake.

no, but too much overlap is the problem. don't run wild vtec cams.

Tuning with vtec is harder because you have two cam lobes to tune for but its worth it. I've owned both vtec and non-vtec turbo's cars (sohc non-vtec and dohc vtec)...imo it's nothing to be concerned with..
as far as breaking or wearing out the engine faster????nonsense. Thats like saying that colder air will wear out your engine faster because it's more dense ..

And lowering the switch-over point (vtec) will not benifit you in most cases. I myself have moved mine up to 6k rpm just to get a smooth transition (no power loss) and nice power curve. Some keep it at stock and some move it up but not nery often does moving it down benifit you in any way.
It's just like having two sets of cams

Do you not agree that vtec cams help spool a turbo quicker?

I agree that it does...more exhaust pressure = faster spool

Now that I think about it, I guess it could help. I just felt like throwing in that cute face. When I first saw that, it didnt strike me because people usually refer to bigger exhausts, bigger bore, higher compression for spool time, not a vtec head.
