this guy i know has a turbo type r engine in a hatch and everytime he tries to go past vtec it sounds like the full throttle launch. it does it in every gear. we tried finding out what was wrong with it with uberdata but couldnt. the car was n/a and it has has huge cams in it if that matters. he is using rc 450's and uberdata. if you need any other info just let me know. i will post some pics up of the basemap when i jump on my laptop. any help will be appriciated.

Sounds like fuel cut or it just needs to be tuned. Try burning the map on different chips or maybe using a different version of uberdata.

 

the guy was debating on buying a wideband or just putting int on the dyno. when i heard it the first time i said fuel cut but we couldnt figure out why. would posting the uberdata pics up help any?

 

Well if the problem is just a setting, pics would help, but it could be something else simple like a bad burn, bad chip, maybe tuning since it hasn't been tuned and you said it has huge aftermarket cams.
