Default Turbo Timer and Car Alarm

I just purchases a car alarm that comes with a built in turbo timer. Now can i install this and hook up the turbo timer without my car being boosted? I plan on boosting my car but not right now and i want to get this alarm installed. From what i have researched i think i can install the timer without the boost kit on it. I only have to hook it to the ebrake/locks/ and ignition.

a turbo timer is nothing more than electronics that keep your engine running after the key is removed.
