Default turbo sizing.

i got a good deal on a t4, and need QUICK feedback on what you guys think of this for an app running a good 12 pounds of boost on the street, more on track.

its a factory rebuilt garrett heres what he has to say.

Compressor A/R .60

Exhaust A/R .84

Has Garrett Factory Rebuilt Turbocharger plate on it. Has not been used since rebuild, so basically a brand new turbo charger. Comes with gaskets for mani to turbo, and both oil in and out.

thanks!

It's a T4 turbo, and likely way too big for your setup.

Agreed.

a .8*ar T4 would suck *** on anything but a big bore high reving H22.

huh...virtually no lag?

riiight...so I guess they "virtually" had no turbo.

If its built with high compression and big bore, you can get away with it. In the end, It'll be up to you.

I ran a big turbo setup like this on my b20. compressor 70a/r turbine 84a/r (vband) 64.5 trim. from a idle stop, full boost at 4k. From a roll almost instant full spool.

****, if you got an good deal on it... TRY IT. Inlinepro makes a new manifold now that has BOTH t3 and t4 flanges. Try it out tell us how you like it. THen switch to a T3 if you didnt like it and keep the same manifold. Good luck.

People used to say mine would never spool either, it did and i loved it. Just try it, you only live life once so you are the captin of your own ship.
