Turbo setup
Hello. Ok, first of all, I have a 1991 CRX DX converted to MPFI, with a few bolt on mods. (Everything else internally is stock). I have been doing a lot of research on turbos, etc. I want to go a fairly cheap route. Although, I want to get a nice turbo manifold, and bolt a used turbo to it. Is there anything else I need to consider? Do I still have to use larger injectors? And as far as management goes, what would I need? (just something basic, and not too expensive). I would only be running around under 7psi of boost. (probably). Also, i'd like to keep my a/c.
Hehe, it's kindof funny, my brother has an '86 Acura Legend(v6, all stock), and he can still beat me in a drag race, I got him off the line, (he has an automatic) but then, to my dismay, he zooms pass me.
So, a simple turbo setup, for some nice power, and so I can beat him! Well, thanks in advance.

bump, anyone? i was noticing on some some turbos, they have built in wastegates, so what's the point for the one on the manifold, (or vice versa)? is there a way to not use one of the wastegates?

Go to http://www.homemadeturbo.com, you'll find your self lots of help for making a cheap setup. External WG are more effective for controlling boost. Internal wastegates get hairy with gigh amounts of boost and tend to spike and certain levels, depending on the make.
