Hey All, I have had a slow leak from my turbo return to oil pan for awhile, i parked the car for the winter, brought it out again and that leak is very very bad now once the car is running.
Its leaking from both parts of the fitting on the side nearest to the oil pan. This is the second time I've replaced it. I have an acura integra 1998 b18b gtx2867r.
What parts should I order online, I just want to start fresh. I need to know the size of the fitting for the moroso oil pan too. Here's a picture. I think its -10 an but I honestly haven't worked on the car all winter.
I feel bad for people who install fittings into their oil pans instead of threaded bungs.
Anyways, those an fittings angled ******* suck in my opinion. I will never use them again.
I just use barb fittings on the turbo, and the oil pan, with a hose clamp and braided line.
also, how do you know that is where its coming from? get some brake clean, spray down the whole return hose/fittings, on the pan, and turbo side, then start it and look for em. way too much oil everywhere to start guessing.
in order for those angled fittings to work, they need to be in place without any pressure on them, if they are pushed to one side or the other, or the route of the line puts pressure on the fitting itself, it will leak. Your line looks like it has pressure on it, wouldn't be surprised if this is your issue. Buy extra line, its like 4$ a foot shipped on ebay. Give the line some slack, but not too much, make sure its as vertical as possible.

Which barbed fittings do you use? Wouldnt you need a 45 degree one or something? I use barbed fittings for my oil cooler and its infinitely better.
There's so much oil down there, I wouldn't put all of your eggs in the return line basket if I were you. Clean that **** up with some degreaser and rags, take it for a quick spin around the block, and see where the oil's ACTUALLY coming from.
I don't know about you guys but in my experience the cheap eBay fittings seem to not last nearly as long as say Russell fittings or other name brand. I'm sure having them stretched out or improper angles don't help either.
My experience has always been "a fitting is a fitting is a fitting". I had a bung welded in by a diesel shop right up the road from my old apartment, that was just something they had laying around the shop. I threaded in a cheap brass barbed fitting I bought at Lowes for like, $2. Never leaked.
