Default turbo reliability

Anyone know what the reliability of turbo is? Just wondering, because I've been wanting to go F.I., but I just drive too much! What problems may occur with turbo setups? All suggestions welcomed!

many things can go wrong.
then again, many things can go wrong with a stock engine if you dont take care of it. Turbos can be reliable if set up well, and taken cared of (maintained). Porblems can range from "my tires keep losing traction (fun)" to " my rod is poking out of the block oh yeah and my car is on fire(not so fun)"
If you was the most reliable set up with the least amount of care....keep it stock.
I sound like im anti-turbo, but im really not i really am proturbo and promod, IF your willing to accept and take care of it, cause your responsibility goes up.
But if your seriously interested, if i were you i'd go and do a lot of research and see what your getting into, and see if it's worth it for you.

It's reliable if you maintain it and go easy on it and dont ghetto anything together.

ghetto rigging
yeah, do it right the first time, because either you pay for it up front, or pay for it later.....with interest.

ya..you give it lots of care..and i mean lots..and it will be okay. But as soon as you slack...it breaks. I have also had my far share of exhaust leaks, oil leaks, and ton of other little things. It really helps if you work on cars so you can fix all thet stuff yourself..or else expect to pay somebody lots of $$ to fix the stupid little problems..

w0w! those were the quickest replies! thanks- i was just curious, currently i have an ALL MOTOR setup- and i have ALWAYS had the urge for turbo- but again, i spent 2x more than what i would have with a turbo kit. i have never actually sat in a F.I. honda/acura. only if i could actually feel the power. another note, i drive a lot 2k a month or 24k a year- this is why i went all motor.

oh yeah, what does taking 'LOTS of care' include?
