Default Turbo question.....

This is a question for my friend. He is looking at buying a rs or gs 95 or newer eclipse. Wants to add a turbo, and anything else to give it as much hp as possible for about 7 or 8 grand. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestion on turbos, thier price, and hp increases. Thanks

na trubos should'nt run ur friend up 7-8 grand, more like 3-4 grand. and for the money i think turbo is the best way to go. NOS is a killer on the engine and superchargers are way over priced for what u get, so i would go wit a turbo. i would go with the drag gen. 3 turob kit, it says it gives u up to 120 hp. but i dont know about that, but anyway thats a good turbo for the ac, im not sure about that eclipse.
goodluck

tell your friend to save himself a huge headache and just buy the turbo eclipse to start out with... the engine is strong and the factory ecu works very well even with turbo upgrades... if he buys the na and turbo's it he will have to deal with all the problems we deal with here on our integra's...

i know hrc makes a turbo kit for the n/a elcipses and i think howell automotive does too or maybe they just are a distributor for them. if i'm not mistaken the n/a elcipse was powered by a neon motor.

tel your friend to buy a car that has a turbo from the factory. If not, like someone else mentioned earlier, they will run into problems.

agree with everyone.

would make no sense to buy an n/a dsm and then turbo it. when the factory turbo dsm's have been proven to have unbelievable potential for the money.
