turbo question

Default turbo question

i just wanted to ask u turbo guys will it be safe to run 8psi on a t3/t04e turbonetics turbo on an all stock h22a motor?with a good tune cause down here in tampa we have people that do very good tuning on cars,or would i have to resleeve my block?would it be safe if i just get low compression pistons and some eagle rods to help a little bit?any comments will be appreciated.thanx

Assuming you have a good tune on a "decent" motor, then you should be good to about 300-350 hp. After that, then rebuild time. The ringlands are the weakest leak to the H22 block.

the most horsepower im looking at is about 240-270whp i just wanted to ask if a stock h22a motor will not blow up at about 270whp

For 270whp, a stock prelude motor will be fine, as long as fuel management and injector/timing issues are properly addressed.

yup, what he said! It's all in the tuning. The stock motor can definetly handle what your asking....
