Default Turbo b16 bogging - please help!

I just got a Turbonetics Drag kit put in my b16a3, and got the missing link so that the check engine light isn't coming on. First gear runs smooth. However, whenever I hit VTEC (around 5500 rpm) in second, third and beyond, the engine sputters and slows down. Is this a result of the stock ECU (with no piggyback/Hondata devices) or is there something else? Thanks!

needs tuning. Don't take it to high rpm's until tuned

I barely know anything about turbo's but I know the concepts on how it works, I'm pretty sure you might be leaning out while building boost and engaging vtec, if the boost heads are reading this, maybe it's time for some some tuning along w/ bigger injectors and a walbro fuel pump which might be option. boosting and running lean = bye bye motor so hopefully you'd correct this problem before all goes wrong. btw should've posted this in the turbo forum, hope it helps.

It already has an upgraded fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator (both came with the kit). I have the wastegate set to peak pressure at 5 psi, and it reaches that long before 5k rpm and runs fine - until VTEC. Any ideas?

You need an Vafc-and get it tuned, or find someone on here that you can tell what you have and theyll tell you a baseline to tune it to.
