These are photos of the #1 smaller test bench turbocharger that I am using to refine the controls. There is also another #2 turbo with a altered vane design I'm testing now. No pics of #2 yet. The final usable turbo is in process of being fabricated. Very cool.

i was going to say vatn also. i learned about those turbos in maximum boost. corkey bell

 

i remebered reading about them in maximum boost. I think both types are discussed. I was thinking of the variable nozzle because i can picture one of the diagrams used to illustrate the concept.

 

The new Mercedes E class Turbo diesel runs one of those variable geometry turbos.
