Default Turbo project finished, dissapointing as hell.

First, heres my setup.

Spoolin Turbo manifold
sc61
custom 3 inch dp
custom kteller 3 inch exhaust
tial WG @ .4bar
hks ssq
custom aluminum charge piping
jrc 6 inch FMIC
Hondata w corolla injectors

I just got back from the dyno, and boy am i depressed. After about 3 months of fabricating and scheduliung around school and everything i got dyno tuned, and i made a whopping,

175.5whp 153.5tq.

Im so pissed. I realize its low boost, but i was hoping for more than 10 hp; I could have made most of this with breather mods. Ill post pics of the dyno tonight but im so sick of this. I did everything right, and I still cant seem to get what i should IM about ready to give up, well my car and get a vw bug.

We'll be able to help you better after we see your dyno graph.

Something isnt right. What engine is this on? Why do you have a very effcient turbo with an uneffcient intercooler? What size are the corolla injectors? That sounds like that might be your limiting factor.

Yeah man, we need more details. What motor? what size injectors? Post the dyno graph. Who tuned the car? There are a lot of factors that can be the problem.

ok lemme try and clear everything up, sorry about being unclear. im in a permenant state of depression, lol

Its an h22a4, thus the low boost (i wanted to run safer than safe, while im building the block)

injectors are from a corolla AWD turbo rally edition thingy. I bought them off a guy on HT, and he told me they were 440cc, and that theyd clip right in. Turns out they wouldnt clip right in, and my tuner said that theyre prolly around 370cc (after tuning and realizing that theyre not quite right). The AFR is at about 12 @ about 105 duty cycle (give or take .1afr)

My tuner is lawrence from DSR in san jose, a very reputable shop.

Im running .4 bar, like i said in the intro/first post.

My boost gauge isnt here yet (its a week late, so Ill hafta wait till it comes to see exactly what im pushing.)

Oh yea and there was a lot of smoke from my exhaust, but it didnt look very startlingly blue. At first I thought it was from my rings, but after looking at it for awhile I couldnt see much blue at all, hardly enough to be a blow block @ WOT)

I think thats it, lemme go scan the graph.

You have a dinky I/C, your injectors are static, & you're only running .4bar on an SC61.

yea, im running lower boost on an sc61, thats a good point, but this intercooler is rated too like almost 350 hp, so i dont think itll be a problem

Im just discussing it, telling them what im thinking, and trying to figure out why I thought what I thought would work didnt.

I'm really leaning towards the big *** turbo on such little boost. Its compressor maps show great efficiency around about 14psi, and im way off that, so although once my h23 is done itll be perfct, its gay right now.

I really wish the guy who sold me the injectors had sent me what he said he was selling, if they were just that much bigger id feel so much better. My A/F is nice n solid though, so i didnt think that they were much of a problem, but i could be wrong.

just my two cents though.

get some real injectors........running them at 105% duty cycle is just asking for trouble.........find a good tuner.......maybe you have to much timing retard.....on boosted hondas more power can be found with ignition timing rather than fuel....

and turn up the boost.....

yea, i will turn up the boost, I just want to be certain that this setup is safe while im building my h23.

As far as getting a "real tuner", I put my full faith in Lawrence from DSR. Before me he tuned a supercharged M3, and after, a Viper. If he can work his magic with those race bred cars, I this a honda would be like playing with building blocks . DONT FLAME I LOOOVE HONDA!

i need new injectors like what. Im pissed off at the seller from HT for lying to me outright, he coulda cost me an engine if my tuner didnt pick up on it.

I'm almost positive since you don't have a boost gauge you probably have a boost leak and not know it. Looks almost stock power band to me.
