Default turbo problem need help

just got my car started and i have a problem. my garrett 60 trim turbo is very close to the block due to spacing problems with a log manifold might even be on the block. the problem is that the blades on the compressor side of my turbo are scraping against the housing sometimes. we spaced the mani out a lil more and still the same problem not as bad b/c it comes and goes. what could be the cause of this problem? i got this turbo from another member on here with less than 1000 miles on it "claimed" and i dont think that the turbo has the problem because when the turbo is off the blades spin freely. any help is welcomed

possibilities we think:

bent shaft on turbo

compressor housing is pushing against block causing housing to move and hit the compressor

thanks again for any help or solution suggestions thanks

Your compressor housing hitting the block has absolutely nothing to do with your compressor wheel hitting the housing. Your turbo bearings are worn, it needs a rebuild.
