Default Turbo prep

Im new to the turbo stuff and wanted to know what i need to do to my d16 to prep it for a turbo. Im going to rebuild it but what all can i do to be safe. Its got 240k on it and dont wanna blow it up lol

Make sure all your maintenance items are up to date:
water pump
timing belt
fuel filter
spark plugs/wires
check your timing

Another question to ask yourself is: Are the other systems in my car up to the task? Suspension, tires, fuel.

Just remember you need fuel, air, and spark to make your car run. With that in mind, make a list yourself of things to check/fix.
