turbo plugs.......??
i finally got my b20 turbo running, and it was popping a little at first, and that was traced down to bad injectors......the injectors have been replaced but it still seems a little lean.....the plugs don't have the splatter on them but they are a lil whiteish looking.....the electrode doesn't look like it's too hot but i'm not sure what it should look like in a boosted motor......is there anyway to richen it up??? i have a stock b20z and a ls ecu......with stock injectors......and an fmu, i beleive the fmu is 12to1.....also i've heard you can use a fpr with the fmu.....would this help my prob??? i'm also running the bcpr6es-11 plugs
i'm currently boosting 8psi, with no boost controller, i'm gonna install my avc-r soon so my turbo will spool faster, but plan on running 8psi still......the plugs don't look like they are detonating, but they do look a little lean
basically i drove the car for the first afternoon of it running with the stock b20 plugs......then i put in some bcpr6es-11's gapped at .030 and it took most of my popping problem away, but my car would hesitate before boost, while in boost, just basically the whole time, so i figured it was a fuel problem, and having replaced the fuel filter prior to my turbo install, and having the fmu that i know is good and my walbro pump, i figured it was the injectors.....and beeing that they came off a friends wrecked 92 si that sat for years with bad gas, then he fixed the car and tried to drive it i figured that was the problem, and it was.....
