Re: Turbo Oil Problems (CRX T-Si)
The feed is a -4an. I ordered an adjustable ball valve that runs inline with the feed so that I can change the amount of oil pressure to the turbo, should arrive tommorrow. As far as the drain, there is a 90 degree adapter right off the turbo, then the actual tube itself is a clean, downward shot to the pan.

Re: Turbo Oil Problems (tegunderpressure)
change out that 90 degree as well even though it flows downward, when pressure builds it will still burn oil out the exhaust, too much flow for that 90 degree.. trust me!

Re: Turbo Oil Problems (svmnredracr)
I really doubt it has anything to do with the feedline or return line. Return line looks fine.
If oil is coming out the downpipe the seals are shot.
It looks like its a used turbo anyway... time to get a rebuild.

When you get that Adjustable Ball valve, could you take a pic of it. I never seen something like that for oil control.
Any how much did it cost ya??
Good luck on the turbo rebuild if that is your route.

I agree. 90 degrees is too much, get a 45 degree bend
and you may want to thing about buying a -3an feed

Re: (FAUCON)
Ill try the valve first. (it was 12 bucks for those that asked.)
If it turns out to be the bend off the turbo for the return, I dont know what Im going to do. It goes into the 90 then nearly straight to the pan with only a slight decline. If I had to use a 45 then the pan would have to be tapped further down to provide a slope, but then that would put it lower than the oil level. Any ideas?

Re: (tegunderpressure)
if u got the valve coming already try it, but really fix that 90 degree, I think u should be ok to tap it a little lower oil shouldn't sit that high in there. Good Luck!

Re: (svmnredracr)
Bump for for new pics.
Also, I cannot install the ball valve, it doesnt have room to twist on either way, so I was wondering if I could remove the oil pressure sensor and tee then screw the valve right into the block without a CEL?

Re: (tegunderpressure)
Like ive been saying from the start its the 90 degree, tyr that plus its not gonna cost u anything. If u been reving it like that for a long period of time then think bout your seals, but definitly change that 90 degree out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: (FAUCON)
My oil level is pretty high too, its almost to the top hole on the dipstick. Should I try letting alittle out? Will it still have enough if its in the middle of the two dots?

Re: Turbo Oil Problems (tegunderpressure)
Ok, I bought another 14b and it should be in shortly. Im just waiting on Flamenco-T to get back with me regarding the 45 deg bend. Now my question is, will I have to retap the oil pan? Im pretty sure I will, but Im worried that it will be below the oil level. Look where its tapped now, and tell me if you think I can move it down about an inch.

how about you try replacing the turbo first. then if it still smokes (which i doubt it will) retap your oil pan. I am SCREAMING HERE, ITS THE OIL SEALS IN THE RURBO!
