7psi will be fine for the stock internals just make sure you have enough fuel.

welcome to HT, glad to have you..
when you say rex si, are you referring to a b16 swap in your rex?
if so you could use the greddy kit.

#1- depending on mileage, i would say do a leakdown and compression to see if engine is up to par.
#2- you should be fine @ 7psi on stock internals

FYI, search in archived sections and a vast amt of info can be found.. not being a dick to you just helping you out..

hope that helps ya

The CRX SI had a sohc non-vtec motor. Never the less it has the same d16 block that most d16s have. Ive run 15psi, and heard of 18psi, on stock d16 blocks. Altohugh i dont recommend that. I run 10-12psi daily on pump gas...on a stock block.

But whatever you run..tuning is key. You could easily blow it up at 4psi with bad tuning. But with good tuning (and a good motor) you will have a happy relationship.

depends on how much boost you run. At 15psi i was making close around 240-250hp @ the wheels...thats a hell of alot more then a b16a is going to make stock. But at 5psi its going to be similar to a b16a swap.

A turbo sohc is going to make more power/torque (if turbo is sized right) but going to be less reliable. B16a is a stock motor..its going to last forever it taken care of.

What do you want to do with your car? Thats a question only you can answer.

In your case in particular, I would just go for a b16 swap, turbo are sometimes a overkill of what you might actually need. Especially if you don't feel like maintaining it. Less problems in the future as well. Take it slow, turbo will come sooner or later for you if you want it bad enough. But do it when your ready, dont 'just jump into it. I know that's hard but... take your time.

It's like a relationship with a girl. If you are a guy I dunno. But my guy friends are allways falling for girls, and I say take it nice and slow, don't go all head over heels, cuase you never konw if it's is goign to work out the way you want. And when it doesn't work out (it never does) they all come crying back and all sad for weeks. Always just jumping into it when they aren't really ready or when they dont' really know how it's goign to be. It just that they have been bitten by the love bug or whatever. Just like poeple get bitten by the boost bug. Relationship that are rushed don't work out. Turbos that are rushed don't work out. Then I say, "you're a stupid ****, and nobody ever listens to me when I tell them to take it slow."

Well... yeah.. I think.. I wen toff on a tangent there, but I hope that might have helped. I'm bored, it's 7 am, and I haven't gone to bed yet.
