Re: Turbo my SOHC (Rhythm Racer)
if u wanna go cheap, get a civic hf mainifold (also came off 92-95 civics, dx, vx, cx i think) buy a t-25 turbo from 2nd gen eclipses (heard the 14b from 1st gen eclipses fit the hf mainifold too, dont quote me on this), adapter plate (find off the net), starion intercooler (find off the net), vafc hack, 1st gen eclipse "blue" fuel injectors, resistors for fuel injector wiring, oil lines for turbo, custom downpipe, custom piping for intecooler, BOV, and thats about it i think. this kit can cost less than $1k. u should be in the 14's with this setup ( not sure yet, havent tooken my bros car on the track yet) goodluck!!!

Re: Turbo my SOHC (D21X)
or if you want to spend the money, go with the greddy kit with intercooler and bov. Only drawback is that the blue box could only get you so far.

Reach, search, and research, then put together a custom kit. I didn't know a damn thing about turbos a couple of years ago, but I put together a custom setup for less than a kit and made great power.
A lot of people are going this route these days..

Re: Turbo my SOHC (Hatchblack)
Greddy makes a pretty nice kit for the ex. My boy has had this kit on his car for about 14 months and it still runs good. His best time is like 14.5. Not very fast but very respectable from 7-8 psi on the SOHC. If you have the money id swap in a B-series motor over the ex turbo.

the greddy 92-95 will fit but it has to be slightly moded. the O2 sensor has to be extended if im not mistaken and a few small things as well. go to http://www.turbocivic.net and it will give you all the details

Re: Turbo my SOHC (swrdply400mrelay)
Apexi is better but he mentioned a h22. YOur looking to deal with a lot more than you are thinking about. Those swaps aren't just bolt in. There are alot of modification involved. First you need to set your goals. If your looking for a 12sec reliable motor. You've got the wrong motor. If your looking for somthing fun to play with on the street and to beat a few people a kit will do you fine. B-series motors are alot more easier to put in a car. Just take the time to figure out what you want to do then go from there. FYI......if you do a b-series swap you'll be alot happier with the turbo on it than a SOHC.

GReddy kit is good. A'PEXi is better.
True, especially if you have the extra grand to spend.

Better quality, slightly larger Ball-bearing IHE turbo, better incooler if you decide to get it.

I could have got the complete kit, GTR intercooler and twin chamber BOV shipped for $2800. Free installation considoring i work on my own car.
But I decided to jump on that max rev deal
