Default turbo manifold question..

im making a custom turbo manifold out of what i had left of a greddy header, i want to make it a top mount turbo manifold, im going to cut a hole into one of the tubes and weld in a arm for a external wg, the thing is i think the only way i can mount the turbo is with the compressor side facing the transmission will i have room for a down pipe or not, this is on a crx with a b16. thanks.

Sure...why not?

This is actually the way most turbo setups are run with the compressor closest to the tranny.

In a CRX quite a few are run tranny side, however altogether very few are run that side. Just more of a hassle for the intake as well as a downpipe. Typically the ebay specials run the turbo backwards, but its all doable
