Default Turbo Mani for d16a6

Would like to know who makes a good turbo exhaust manifold for my d16. I've seen HKS', but was hoping there were other options ($$$)

Still new to boosting (very new...been researching hardcore for a little while). Any help with turbo suggestions (no home made, don't trust myself that much). Looking for a good setup for d16a6 in 91 crx si. Think I have a rough idea about what I want, but any suggestions for a good turbo setup would be much appreciated. Looking to make 200-220 whp (yes, gonna replace the rods). I know the basics of turgocharging, and am pretty confident I can bolt the crap together, but don't really know where to go from there. Heck, lemme just throw out a list of questions, if you have answers gimmie, thx.

1. Injectors, what size should I use and where can I get'm cheap online.
2. Looking at a garret turbo atm, but am open to lots of suggestions.
3. On a budget of around $2k, is my goal even plausable?
4. What the hell is this hack thing everyone keeps talking about anyway?
5. How much boost can I run on stock internals (cept rods, I know they are crap).
6. How long do you think its gonna take me to blow up my motor?

DRAG and Rev Hard also make cast D16 manifolds. If I were in your shoes, I'd just go with the Greddy kit for the D16.

Got a link so I can take a look at the Greddy kit? Keep seein' stuff about it, can't find the damn thing. Can't get crap where I live, so pretty much everything I get I gotta order online.

wow...looks like exactly what I'm looking for....maybe. This may be a stupid question (feel free to flame and laugh), but I don't have a vtec motor, will that make a diff? origonal motor in 91 si crx (with my luck, i'll finish the turbo project and the motor will fall out on the test run anyway)

No not having VTEC won't affect anything. You may have to modify the piping slightly to fit your CRX but it's what you're looking for.

After a week or so of know sleep after work browsing every part site I could find, I do believe you solved all my problems. Oh, and i'll just cut holes in my rex to make it fit (kidding). Thank you a lot, I can finally get some sleep.

If you're looking for 200hp+, I would also recommend the intercooler upgrade. Glad I could help.

IMO, i would just say get the greddy kit. You will definetly be more than satisfied with the setup. My friend has a greddy kit on his d-series with stock everything, and it pulls real hard. Put it this way, we just beat a wrx on the way home .

If it's tuned you can do 200whp on stock rods all day long. I would jsut put a turbo on it and see how you like it. I'm just figuring that for the cost of the rods installed you could buy 1 or 2 used d16 motors.
