Turbo LS burning through coils! Help
I have an issue with burning up coils in my Integra. I am running 10 psi/t3 turbo, 215 to the wheels, 205 tq, running AEM EMS, Wideband, 550 injectors, 255 wal fuel pump. It seems to me to do it more so when it is hot outside, like if we have a span of 90+ degree days, it will seem to run good but as soon as I get up into the boost, and around 5000 rpm, it acts like its cutting out/ bogging and then it seems to have no power under boost. I pull out the coil and its junk, replace it and I'm on my way again until I get another span of hot days, The coils seem to be ok for about a month. Once fall comes I do not have the issue again. Could this be a tuning or timing issue? Also one more question about the AEM EMS systems, does it seem to take longer to start cars using this FMS? I have to crank my car for about 4-5 seconds before it will fire. Anyways, Any Ideas? Comments? Would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Re: Turbo LS burning through coils! Help
Yes, stock. I have new plugs, coil (we'll have went through three) ignitor, cap, rotor. Plugs ohm out fine so it is worthless to swap those out. I do not have a MSD set up or anything as I had that on my boosted prelude and had nothing but problems with the ss blaster coils.

i must be the only one not having problums with a msd box and ss coil.
the only thing i can think of on your setup; if your plug wires are shorting out between each other or to the block/head it could cause this. it may not be the heat alone but the humidity combined with it. just a thought.

Re: Turbo LS burning through coils! Help
I checked the wires also by spraying a water/mix while running and there was no problems,
it just seems to happen when it is very hot out or the engine gets really hot (I drive 125 miles a day) and get into boost around 4K+ it seems to cut out. When I replace the coil it seems fine for a while but it comes back, then when fall comes it lasts 9 months...
