Default turbo issues..someone help!!

this is for a t25 turbo....this is what he said in his email to me.

ok mate
when i start it upit is smokey, and when i drive it, it is smokey too its a
grey smoke that comes from the exhaust and sometimes from the bottom of the
motor. When i start it up and drive it there is alwayes some rattleing and
stuff that doesnt sound that good comeing from the turbo The Smokeing starts
and stops when i am driving. The bov is shooting out oil into the bonnet and there is alwayes oil in the bov. i have a feeling there is a oil leak
on the turbolike i topped my oil up when i got it back and i checked the dip stick
this morning and its almost empty. If the turbo has a leak will i be able to
send it back to you to replace it? with the same one, since all the pipeing
in my car has been set up for that turbo with its dimensions and its flange
etc

he is from australia so bonnet is hood and mate is...well i don't know..

can anyone help me here??

What's the scenario? Did you sell him a turbo, and he is having problems with it? If so..did you use it previously and was it leaking then?

and don't overlook even stupid mistakes that could make this happen.

this guy doesn't know a single thing about turbos other then what i tried to explain to him and it seems that no one in his area really does..hell the shop wanted to charge him $1200 for installing the COMPLETE kit that I sold to him...

further they almost talked him into buying a $800 Motec system to run 6psi on his stock setup.

so any little thing, something plugged in wrong, zip tying the turbo to the manifold...anything could be a possibility for mistakes
