I picked this turbo up at a local pic-a-part. It was sitting on top of a volvo 740 and it spins fine and there is no shaft play on it. It has a 3 bolt down pipe flange and the writing on the serial number tag is un-readable.

The casing says, Garrett BCC 43 A/R.

Anyone know anything about these?

I think the wastegate is toast on this one. I basically am trying to piece together a setup to run a low 3 to 5lbs max on my 91 hatch daily driver. I read somewhere that these turbos acutally had an internal BOV. There is a small 2 bolt flange on the housing but I havent looked into it to much.
