94-95 Legend GS calipers. They are the only ones that bolt up to the gsr knuckles and are 2 piston. Best bang for the buck OEM big brake kit you can make up. I am sick of dealing with the wilwoods on my car.

Yup, i NEVER do...its a big no no. I actually had no front braking capabilities at all, the only way I could get the car to stop was pulling the e brake.

1. What raditator are you running? full core or half core? what size fan are you running on your radiator?

1. I am running a pwr half core radiator. I am running a 12" pusher style fan rated at 1400 cfm capacity. I have the fan operated by an in cabin switch, but soon to be switched to coolant temperature switch through Neptune software. Running straight distilled water with water wetter made a huge difference. I datalogged a drop of 15 degrees when driving around by making that switch. Wrapping the manifold and downpipe had a huge impact on underhood temperatures as well.
2. I was running 9-10psi. I was just letting the engine operate off of the wastegate spring, no boost controller hooked up at all.
The bottom end is still stock at the moment, holding strong now for 1.5+ years of boosting.
P.S Jon really is a pirate!

1. gt3071. I am going to switch to a GT28RS though to get more midrange response.
2. GSR engine. Stock head/bottom end. Thicker headgasket, arp head studs.
3. Each lapping session was 25 minutes, the last one was 35 minutes. I ran the entire lapping session without pulling into the pits. The last lapping session the hub broke on the last lap.

Re: (boosted hybrid)
the hubs shearing off at the splines is common in the EF oem ef hubs, which is why they usuall upgrade to the heat treated opm units, or simply replace em alot. happens in eg/dc/ek too if they hubs are old and have high milage, hubs are considered a wear item...in roadracing...anything that moves is a wear item, haha
atleast nothing happened and ur ok

One of the best things you can learn to do for Road Racing...that and Left Foot Braking...which is the one thing I haven't yet mastered...

I HPDE a turbo d-series EJ8. I hav a d16y8 on a gt25 @ appx 8psi w/ a fluidine rad, flex-a-lite fan, samco hoses, 160* T-stat, mugen rad cap, and a FAL turbo oil cooler, I havn't had any heating problems except for a little incident w/ a head gasket (which actually happened on one of the FEW times I've actually been to a drag strip, go figure)
:edit: BTW that is not the only thing done to the car, I'm on progress CR2's 2 350F/500R w/ a progress 22mm rear sway on a beaks kit, stock front sway, wilwood billet dynalite 4piston calipers on prelude front rotors, and '98 GSR rear disks.
I wouldn't take a turbo honda on a track w/o the a cooling system, suspension setup, and (most importantly) a driver, that can handle the power.

Damn good video. I hope to see more in the future.
EDIT: Oh and getting the 'point by' from more expensive cars always makes you grin a little bit.

Switching to the gt3071 from my t3/t67 made a huge difference in the power band. There's a huge difference in throttle response (really boost response) which makes the car much more driveable in a motorsports condition. I'm considering stepping the turbo down to a gt28rs.</TD></TR></TABLE>
If you want to go smaller...go to the GT2871R. with a .64 A/R T2 flanged housing. i spec these all the time for drift applicaiton 240's. they are incredible. almost the same spool up as the GT28RS with about 50hp more on the top end. do not believe teh garrett hype about the GT28RS. you wont see over 320 whp wiht one....at 18 psi!! they are just not that great.
The GT3071R has too much turbine wheel for a 2.0L and under applicaiton IMO. the GT30R turbine wheel on it (60mm, 84 trim) can flow enough for 500+ hp. it's just too big for your app. you wont be disapointed with a GT2871R (.64 A/R). Garrett engineers will try to sell you on the .86 becasue it is a technically mroe efficient setup...however you will sacrifice 400 rpm of spool...not what you really want for a RR car.
PM me if you have any questions
EDIT - BTW...great video!! made me want to get my 240 back on the road
