Default turbo help with stock internals

hello new to forum and dnt kno if this is right category but here goes. I have a 1995 honda civic ex and has a d series and before buying a b18 or 20 series id like to see if I can upgrade internals like pistons and rods etc my question is once yhat is done how much boost could I run?

its not the amount of boost, its the amount of hp it can handle. are you going to resleeve the block?

Why upgrade the block only to replace it? Not to mention the manifolds, downpipe, routing, etc will have to be changed if you go to a different platform.
