Default turbo head and block displacement issues

I have found a 1999 B18B LS block that had been sleeved by GEM and has a GSR girdle and main cap. What would the GSR main cap and girdle do for me? Should I use this block along with Eagle B20Z 140.8mm rods and the B17A 81.4mm crank (1.73r/s) bored at 85mm(isnt this the largest I can safely go with GEM godzilla sleeves) to get 1847.62cc's or wait and find a GEM sleeved B16A1 block and use stock geometry aftermarket parts(stock crank, eagle rods, RW pistons)but bore it to 85mm to get 1747.75cc's. The street driven block will be turbo'd hopefully to 22-28psi. to make around 500Whp (boost turned to12-15psi on the street).

I know that displacement isnt AS important when boosting but what about streetability. Wouldnt the larger displacement make street drivability better? Would the extra complications(finding the crank, decking the block, etc.) be worth the .1L of displacement? With the big turbo required to make those kinds of HP I probably wouldnt be seeing any boost at street rpm's(3500max), right.

Also a part to consider is what head to use. I do not want to run external oil lines to the head on either block if possible, although they are already drilled on the sleeved LS block, so that basically limits me to a B16A(what about a B18Chead) head on the B16A block or a B18B head on the B18B block. What head would be best for this high power turbo? B16A, B18C1, B18B?

if you want to use an LS or B20 block with a vtec head you WILL have to run
external lines.

regarding the displacement, i doubt you would notice any difference on the street
with a turbo setup.

I was thinking the same myself, but since I will be spooling 25-29psi the turbo probably wont kick in at normal street rpm's. So basically would a 100cc increase in displacement for a NA be noticeable?

yeah, you'll only need a 61 or 62-1 turbo for this set up. thats what i'm using. with my old small *** t3/4 and stock gsr block, traction was always an issue. even with the drag radials. i would spend less effort on building a "torque" motor and spend a little more money on a good spooling turbo. you'll have plenty of power. trust me.

I Think I'll beable to buy a b18a/b block about this time next month. I plan on having it sleeved by Golden Eagle with the 84.5mm bore, B16 head, eagle rods, and Endyn Pistons. So basicaly it will be a B20/Vtec. Will the t3/t4 57 trim turbo that comes with the MaxRev kit workout well with that setup? I haven't done all of the math yet to figue it out so Im not sure. What do you guys think would be a better turbo.
