Default Turbo guys, all motor head trade for a f-max kit!!!!

my friend has a f-max kit for a gsr in his storage just sitting. the turbo has been upgraded to a ball bearing. my question is if it is a good trade for me to swap a ctr head, lightly ported and polished, skunk 2 valetrain and gears, skunk 2 stage 2 cams, maybe my skunk manifold and the labor of me putting it on his built ls block, for dsm 440 injectors the full f max kit, electric phantom fuel pressure gauge and phantom boost gauge. is it a good trade?

i was going to put this on my rs sleeved block with eagle rods and i will have to sell my 12.0-1 arias pistons and drop that to around 9.5 or so compression and put my ls head back on

the all motor thing was fun and i did get it to run a 8.56 with stock ls tranny in the 1/8th but i just want faster.

also, what kind of boost is safe before i need to swap to a hondata setup, this turbo stuff is alot more complex compared to what i was doing with my teggy.

Not worth it IMO, especially if your going to a stock LS head which dont flow for ****. All that stuff listed in the head is a pretty chunk of change. All you need to do is piece together a basic turbo kit and throw in some lower compression pistons and your gonna have a nice setup for turbo. Although I dont think the cams will be good for FI, but you could easily sell them and just pick up stock gsr bumpsticks for a lot less then what you will get for the skunks.

i agree, there is too much money in that head. i would say to keep it and put to gether a turbo kit yourself for 800-1500 and you will be set. that is a nice head. dont trade it.

ok so what needs to stay in the head, because i know i can make it go faster with the ls head, because i have the bottom end that will hold with good tuning

Ill be selling my fully built LS head if you want to go that route.
it has:
+1mm exhaust Ferrea valves
+1mm intake Ferrea valves
Deshrouded combustion area for the larger valves
5 angle valve job
Portflow bronze guides on in/ex
Crower dual race springs....the higher seat pressure ones (i forget the p/n)
Very aggressive port and polish job
Stock retainers for strength and longevity
Stock cams and gears
Probably more, just cant think of it all.

Let me know if your interested
