Turbo GSR is finally up and running! (pics)
I've actually been working on this project for about a year now. 6 of those months just getting all the pieces together, and about another 6 months of rebuild and finding out more pieces that I eventually ended up needing to buy.
First, few pics of engine.
The entire engine:
Turbo shot, don't make fun of pantyhose, I'm switching it out soon
Skunk2 manifold:
Some pics of the car itself:
Back/Exhaust view:
Front view:
Here's a clearer pic of the front with my black intercooler. Not sure if yall can see but the intercooler is actually hanging like 1 1/2" below the front bumper. I still need to trim the bumper support or take it off completely. But I don't have time right now.
Still in the process of breaking it in right now, but when I'm done I'll head to the dyno and get everything tuned and whatnot and then I'll post the numbers.
Hope yall like it.
Oh, sorry if the pics of the actual car are not clear. It was way too sunny outside!

Nice setup , I had the same problem with the intercooler on my 96 gsr, get a itr lip and that will take care of that FMIC.

damn i've always loved that color on tegs. yea a lip should take care of that IC. better then to add a lil and make it looks a lil better rather than cut into the bumper support. at least the lip is something u can put on and take off
looks good anyhow

Great car!!! Would NOT want to have a run in with that thing on the road! How do you like the kit?
? for ya. I've read mixed reviews about the Skunk 2 IM on boosted engines....what's your thoughts?

Re: (jvithayapun)
should i just get a lip or cut the bumper support?
also, i was wondering when yall went turbo, did yall have to take out the a/c fan as well? right now i just got the radiator fan there, but it is set up so it is on all the time?
anyone have problems with this?
