Default turbo gone bad already?

Got couple of questions to ask concerning my fmax turbo

(1)i suspect theres an exhaust leak coming from where the manifold and tial wastegate connects cuz I can feel the air coming thru. there....that's not healthy right?

(2)i see white smoke when i warm up the car and white smoke when i'm boosting...is that normal or i blew something?

White smoke and no cat is common. Hey jeff bring it by Dr. Boosted's house and we shall inspect the problem. Maybe do a compression/leakdown test. Did you end up putting the colder plugs in? Have you been running the car hard and at what boost level?
Let me know,

You might want to check out the oil lines. I dont know if you have clamps or earl's fittings but if you are using clamps you might want to use earl fittings in the future.

You might want to check your gaskets on the wastegate. I had almost the same problem with an exhaust leak (sans white smoke). I smelled exhuast fumes near the manifold and when I drove my car it was making this horrible clanking noise, almost like my valves tapping, except MUCH louder. Turns out I blew a gasket on my tial wastegate. The gaskets that came with my Drag turbo kit didn't have a firering. I replaced 2 gaskets and the car runs perfectly.

yeah...i think that should be the problem..feel the exhaust coming out, smell the exhaust, and also some ticking noise..

and as for the gasket on the wastegate..where can i get 'em?

I got my gasket from Inline in Va. I'm sure any local shop would have some gaskets laying around. I mean, it's a 5 dollar part.

my gasket blew out on my tial too quick.
when that happened the gate loosened up too

make sure you tighten that damn thing down jeff. put a lock washer in there to help too.
