depends on the turbo really..

if it has a restrictor than why the need for a bigger line ??

its for the older kits that only came with the -4 line.

my drag kit from '01 never had a restrictor, and never passed oil with a -3 line. f-r said i dont need a restrictor with my current setup. but have had oil passing issues. but from what i have heard it is the t3t67 normality.

was always told -3 line w/o is fine.
and if you are running -4 line you need a restrictor.

now on a huge t4 frame i would think different.

You need to check the oil pressure at the turbo and then decide what you need to do from there. If you see over 55 psi at idle (hot) I would use a restrictor but if it is lower and you have a good drain no restrictor is needed. You can use -3 or -4 there is not much difference between the 2 line sizes. -3 is the smaller of the 2 and will restrict some of the oil flow to the turbo.

Check the oil pressure at the turbo first before you put the restrictor in first. You have to know what you are dealing with first. If you have low oil pressure at the turbo and you don't check it before you install the restrictor you could cause a turbo failure.
