Default Turbo D16Y8 Help?

I'm a complete n00b to Forced Inductions, so any help would be sweet. I'm looking at turboing a D16Y8.

Just wondering how big of a trim can you get on this. I've tried searching alot for this, but all I seem to come up with is turboed D16Z6's. I'm just wondering how big of a trim you can get for a D16Y8. And which turbo would produce the most power on this engine. Probably a T3/T4 Hybrid I'd think would be most effictive, but I am not sure, hence the reason why I'm coming here to find out what's the best option and such.

I also came across a B18C GSR engine for $1,800 without shipping and handling. What do you guys suggest should I turbo the D series or get the B series and turbo that. I know most of you will say it's my own opinion and it's up to me to decide what I want to do, and there's no "better" way to do it.

What I currently have on the engine is
D16Y8 (153k) with DC Sports 4-2-1 Header (brand new), & GReddy Evo II full cat back exhaust. (This will be used as a drag car/daily driver)

Modified: Which is cheaper to do, buy a turbo kit or build your own? And what would I all need to if I were to build my own (did not do a search on this yet, but will anyways) and where can you find the parts. I'm usuing Google as a search engine, but not finding much in the way of turbo parts. I'm finding more kit stuff. Basically any help would be awesome, like I said, I'm new to Turbos.
