Default turbo d16

I am planning on getting a greddy turbo kit for my 99ex. I was wondering what greddy kit i should get.also i am gonna run it on stock internals, i should be safe running about 5 psi around town and on the road, and about 10 @ the track or raceing? are my mpg's gonna decrease alot from 28 mpg? Thanks

I have a boosted D16Y7 in a hatchback and I get between 38-42mpg consistantly on 8psi.

i dont have much experience with turbo cars. But ive heard that the rods are only good til about 190-200whp range. your driving style prolly plays a big factor in this as well.

your rods are good for 250whp, but don't run that much.

plenty of people run 10psi all day everyday

just get the 19t kit, it comes with emanage but is tough to tune because its locked, but the unlock code is floating around the internet if you ask the right person.

Milage will actually increase with your turbo as your motor will be more effecient. Unless you are boosting, then your mpg goes way down.

well your opinion is misleading, 10-11psi is perfectly safe on even an afc hack. I have several examples to back it up if you want proof.

don't waste your time with the afc hack or any of that that junk. Get tuned! UBERDATA, HONDATA, AEM EMS... think engine MANAGEMENT not just something that "works"

im trying to learn uberdata, ne1 have a link to a manual or where i can get the software,? i turbo'd my 99ex motor in my 93 hatch, 8 psi all day awsome milage and all i used was a chipped ecu (rev limit and fuel curve) and fpr at 55psi. never ever ran lean even with stock injectors. management is nessacary but not to the point of stand alone that are $1g+ if yer runnin less the 10psi. thats on a budget of course. ive seen 99si's on 5lbs no management been running years on.

nothing wrong with an afc hack, yeah uberdata/hondata are far superior. But afc hack is great for a begginer, teaches them the effects of lean/rich and super basic tuning.

Just buy my kit in my sig...its 100% complete, good fuel management, and less expensive than a greddy kit with more goodies...

Not just that. The kit pictured is the ebay ssautocrome, stone mountain...etc. kit. Alot of people have mentioned issue with the turbo failing. Also without proper bracing of the TURBO (not manifold) and removal of the stock mani braces... it WILL crack.

Oh and it comes with NO fuel management... so its not a "complete" kit

For the record questions need to be directed to my friend Andy at ICE performance........ http://andy@iceperformance.net
he can give u all the specs on this kit.....I was impressed with the price (900) and thought I would share....those of you nay-sayers out there should make sure your facts are straight (as I am trying to do as well).

Alrighty....I know that my friends GSR turbo mani that looked like that failed but he didn't have a mani brace on it....since he put his new one on that looks just like that (quality welds and all) with a brace he has had zero problems.

Does your friend sell them on ebay? Because I have even seen that pic before. Find out the details of what is included.

Link is no workey.

Specs on the turbo? Looks like the WG dumps to atmosphere.

And no, it's not a "its basically to get u up and running for a clean kit" No cold side piping and thank you, fueling. Sorry if it sounds like I'm jumping down your throat. I saw the $800-$900 and got all excited. What is in the pic looks like it is worth it. I know nothing about that mani.

If you could get the seller to chime in or get him in touch with me, I'd like to chat it up with him. Is Wash. D.C. area local enough?
