Default Turbo D Problems

Okay so the turbo has been giving me some problems.
Specs-d16y7 t3/t04e

First of all I am leaking oil. I can't figure out were its comming from. It will only do it if I rip on the gas. I cleaned the whole engine bottom and went out driving slow and it didn't leak. I tightened the oil feed and oil pan but still leakin. Worst of all its getting on the downpipe and making my car smoke. I'v been watching the oil level carefully

Second problem is that it has been overheating. I ripped on it the other day when my boy pulled up next to me with his 240sx. I probably had it full throttle through 2,3,4 gear. After this my coolant temp goes sky high(allmost all the way over) But the weird thing is that it would randomly go back to normal and then hot again It's done this twice allready.

When it's running hot the coolant overflow will fill all the way up to the top and then go back down in about 5-10min. There is no oil in the coolant. I allreay tried to bleed the coolant lines to get out any bubbles and Nothing is helping.

Despite all of this the car is pulling like there is no tommorow(hopefully there is for my engine )
The worst part of this-> I just broke my hand yesterday so I'm fixin this **** one-handed

Sounds like your heads lifting under boost, oil leak could be your turbo are you using a resrictor oil level not over fill or anything?

no oil restrictor, I am Positive the oil is not comming from the headgasket. Even so, how can head lift be fixed? Lowering boost? I'm at 9psi now

Thinking the oil could be coming out the center section of the turbo had it happen to me needed a restrictor. Lifting head need new head gasket, plane the surfaces, new head bolts and studs was the car tuned properly? If not then tuning to prevent it happening again. Very common d-series problem.

Not tuned yet. I just got this thing running two days ago. I'm running a 12:1 fmu untill i can get it tuned. I am just staying of the throttle as much as I. i know FMU's suck and I don't plan on keepin it.

Edit: Don't run an FMU at 9 psi, that's asking for trouble. If you're overheating it is probably headgasket related. How much oil you losing?

The oil leak is probably coming from one of the two newly added oil lines, either the feed or drain. Check the fittings on the back of the block to make sure they're not leaking etc.

I add the oil untill the level is just below the top fill dot<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sporkcrx &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The oil leak is probably coming from one of the two newly added oil lines, either the feed or drain. I tightened the one on the back pretty good. I only have one hand to use so its pretty difficult. I heard of people breaking of the fitting in the block so I didnt overly tighten it. there is no oil around the fitting on the back though.

I believe there is dye you can put in your oil, this way it'll help to spot where it's leaking from.

I'm saying, like after you drive 500 miles how much do you have to add until it's full again. That would tell you how much you're losing per how many miles.

So far i have putt about a 1/3 quart in it. but iv only been running it since friday. maybe 150 miles. If i put dye in it the whole bottom of my car would still be covered in colored oil. The wind splashes it everywere.

Also its a brand new garret
