Re: Turbo CRX's ---Need help on turbo piping (SpoonFed)
I've used all of these for exhaust and intercooler piping numerous times. I have a summit about 10 minutes from me so it's convenient.
Three should get the job done nicely. Might be able to do it w/ two and some cut angles but 3 will look smoother and make it easier on the imagination.

Re: Turbo CRX's ---Need help on turbo piping (RenoRacing)
well i drew some quick sketches of what i have going on. the first pic is what the stock greddy pipes look like in an EG, the second one is how i am going to modify the pipes. I am going ot keep pipes 1&2 the same and get new pipes to custom fab up the rest. The intercooler is going to be flipped upside down for the CRX install to keep the pipes from hanging low and making them shorter. let me know what you guys think.

Re: Turbo CRX's ---Need help on turbo piping (turbo sol)
correct me if i'm wrong, but i was under the impression that 92-95 greddy and apexi D16 kit turbo piping and FMIC piping would work just fine in a EF with very few mods....
anyone confirm this?

Re: Turbo CRX's ---Need help on turbo piping (Charlie Moua)
i can say that you will have to do some cutting to make the EG piping to get it to fit. the problem is the small curved pipe that hooks around the frame to go from the turbo to the intercooler. the CRX more frame than the EG did, i felt like i would rather re route the pipes and do less structural damage to the car. just my .02
BUT if any one has done this, run greddy 92-95 turbo and intercooler piping, in a CRX please take a bunch of photos of the piping, bc it doesnt look like it will work from my perspective.

On CRXs I always start with 5 U bends and end up with maybe one left depending on how many times I change my mind. That is assuming you go up from the turbo, down through where the washer tank was, to intercooler, out of intercooler, and up through the old airbox hole.

I went to summit, bought 5 180* bend-5" diameter(bend)-2.5" tubing for 16 bucks a piece and was left with one that I din't used....
I'll have pics up tomorrow.

Here's mine...
Picture a 80 degree silicon coupler in that gap. BTW it's a custom backdoor NPR intercooler

thats exactly what i am going to do too. but how many U bends and 90* bends got me clueless. so you bought 5...dang..sounds like a lot.. and how many couplings did you use? should i go all the same size piping from turbo to IM. or 2" from turbo - IC then IC - IM 2.5"?

quis23…
do you have any more pictures of the pipes from the turbo to the intercooler? also how tall is your intercooler it looks ot be slightly larger than mine. Is it the trust intercooler upgrade for the greddy kit? I forget the #.

Re: (Speed PHreak)
Does anyone have pics of the IC piping on the driver side?
Also which kit do you all recommend? And why? Easy fit, best price, best diameter, etc.
Also, if someone have the piping laying around:
Can you take pics of them, so I know how many bents and straights are necesarry?
