Turbo CRX d16a9 not revving over 4k RPM, vacuum leak?
I can rev my car through its full range on idle however as soon as I put load on the engine i.e. drive it in gear it loses power and refuses to rev over 4k rpm sometimes 3k. Anyone had anything simular? Im thinking it is a vacuum leak possibly...
Thanks in advance

Probably not vacuum leak unless the idle is really high. More likely the timing belt jumped two teeth. What you say is happening is how my CRX acted when it jumped teeth.

That would make sense, i'll check it this weekend. Also I tapped off the brake booster hose for my vacuum source (BOV, FPR, gauges) and now my brakes aren't as spongy as they used too... This is why i suggested the vacuum leak.
Thanks for the reply
