Hey guys, i need your comments on these 2 turbos.

1. Which one of this 2 turbos would be better for a d16, and how much power would it produce. Looking at below 300-350whp for street use.

2. Can i use an external wastegate with an actuator?

3. Is the AiResearch turbo a T3/T4? Or a T3/T04E?

the airsearch is the smaller turbo of them both.. the airsearch has a 48 ex and the other as 63. depending on where you want your power to come in you have to decide. the 48 ex will come on quick and will spool right away but will die off a lil later.. the 63 will be a lil more lag but not much. and as for the actuator. you can remove that just by unbolting the flange from the turbo's exhaust side. so yes you can use your external wastegate.

although it would be nice if it gave more details and specs on them. it doesnt tell you anything about the internals . and what the turbine wheels are and there sizes. the 1st one looks to be a 57 trim.

Ok, thanks for the info. I need help in identifying the 2nd turbo. Its stated T04 on the compressor, but with a T3 .48 turbine. Im trying to get more specs on the turbo but the seller has not replied me yet. The first one is out as the reserve price is out of my budget. So i am now looking at the AiResearch turbo. Would be great if anyone could identify what exactly is that turbo. I'll get more info on the specs and update. But for now, i only know that it has a T04 .60 Compressor housing, and a T3 .48 Turbine.
