turbo clocking question
Theoretically, if I were to take out two of the bolts and one of the brackets from the turbo compressor side, clock the turbo, and install the two bolts back, would there be possible damage to the wheel?
On the little piece of paper i got with my turbo, it says never to take these 6 compressor bolts out. does it mean never take all the bolts out, or does it mean never take any of the bolts out?
im having a hard time understanding the potentials for damage. Could someone enlighten me?
(the reason im asking is that i want to clock my internally wastegated turbo by swapping the actuator bracket with one of the other 2 brackets that are sitting on the compressor - i want to know if its safe to do this)

well, its garrett.. they're not dumb. I dont want to bother them because i feel that someone shd have an answer here - but i will if i have to.
thanks for the bump :D

you should be ok. i've clocked my turbo plenty of times with no problem (compressor & turbine housing). just remember to torque them back down accordingly.
