i have a gsr with a full supertech valvetrain (valves, springs, retainers) i was wonder of a good set of cams to boost with is

 

Might be irrelevant information to the clairvoyants among us, but engine, turbo & supporting mods might be helpful information to those without the "gift"....

 

CTR's, Skunk 2 Pro1's, Pro 2's, Blox B's just search and you'll find a bunch of stuff

 

crowers stage 2 cams

 

mazworth ... it really depends on how much power u are trying to make

 

and whats wrong with the gsr cams for your turbo set up?? me personally i stick with stock cams for turbo set ups...99% of the time cams for turbo's are a waste of time and money...cam gears are nice to have if you choose to buy them

i gess u didnt see the test tony did comparing itrs to pro 1s

 

if youre greedy for every horse then do what you want im just offering some money saving tips...

exactly, theres nothing wrong with stock gsr cams, people have made 500 whp with them. but a bit more info on the setup and goals would make this easier.

its not being greedy i want to see u make 800+ on stock cams... that being said a lil info on the power goal would be nice

 

id be happy with 350+whp thats a fast street car to me...but youre right though if youre competing professionally then yes go all out but from a practical point of view its uneccessary to push so much power...cheers

h-t username Boner Ben is make 780 whp on stock gsr head and cams. with alot more potential

so theres the 800+hp mark on stock gsr's!

 

What degree Cams are these ?

or should I say what degree Spec Cams are guys using who are making 500HP+ ?

the engine made great power:



wish i had the capacity to do a true side by side comparo of them vs i/ctr but yeah they are working great for me. now i just need to get the car down the track cleanly.

 

but are mazworx cams safe with supertech valves, dual springs and titanium retainers? 70 lbs seat pressure, 14.00mm max lift, 19.50mm coil bind, 10 lbs/mm rate is the specs of the supertech springs...dont know what the requirements are for the mazworx cams..cant find them...n e one know if they would be ok?

so i contacted them and i guess it is safe...they said its fine as long as you have aftermarket springs and retainers? Weird, i thought there was always a certain requirement..specially since the mazworx cams are supposed to be a bit more aggressive...

Recently made over 800whp with stock gsr cams. I will be switching to mazworx cams very soon.
