Turbo B18C1 or Turbo B16B?
I am trying to decide which engine would be better to start off with. I am going to sleeve either choice to 81MM. I already have a B16B and was going to sell it but I may instead sleeve and forge the bottom end. I am not concerned about the less torque the B16B makes due to both will be boosted. Is there any good reason not to boost the B16B and go with the GSR?

Because it's larger. Also if you're lucky you might be able to find some retard who wants the 'rare jdm ctr engine' and is willing to pay more for it than you can get your hands on a gsr longblock for.. leaving you with a larger engine and some extra cash. Or maybe someone who's interested in serial #'s or something for a show car. Either way I'd prefer the bigger engine for low end, but either one is more than capable of smoking your tires through all the gears, so it's up to you. Good luck
edit: I guess that's being a little harsh with the 'retard' comment. Each person has different motives and interests, I for one am not much into paying extra for jdm stuff.

It will be easier to make tq with the larger engine and the added exhaust energy will help you spool the turbo faster.
It's just my personal opinion but having a decent boosted B16 with a large turbo, I would love to have some more displacement.

Don't bother selling your B16B. The B18C1 and your engine have the same deck height, just a different crank. Since you're going to be sleeving it and replacing the pistons and rods anyway, you should just buy a B18C1 (GSR) Crankshaft.
Using a Crankshaft from a B18C GSR or Type-R engine, along with B18C rods and pistons will give you the same displacement as the B18C1 or B18C5. That's one of the pro's of buying a CTR motor, you can stroke it easily.
You're buying pistons and rods anyway, just buy B18C rods (I sell Eagle H-Beams for $299 Shipped) and I have a set of JE 81mm Pistons I'll sell you for $350 (9.8:1 Compression Ratio)
Unless you plan on making over 500whp, you don't even need the sleeves. check out http://www.evans-tuning.com, you'll see plenty of 400whp + cars on stock sleeves.
You can find a GSR Crankshaft on here for as little as $100 bucks.
Hope that didn't sound like too much of an advertisement, just trying to help out
