Turbo 99 dx coupe finished but where to go from here? Pics!
Question
Where should I go from here? Which refers to what parts should I add
to allow for higher boost and more power? Any sites you guys can refer me
to for parts with good prices?
Thanks ahead of time.
Now on to the setup/car!
Bottom Line
So over the weekend my friend and I took my perfectly
stock dx and decided to give it a little "BOOST"
literally. I've never installed a turbo before but it only
ended up taking us about 8 to 10 hours install time.
Which isn't bad compared to some of the swaps/builds we've
done before. So anyways on to the pics and whats on
the car now.
Exterior
-2 month old Black paint Still has that new shine sparkle.
-16" black rota slipstreams
Interior
-All stock besides gauges, etc.
Motor/Turbo setup
Installed
D16y7
Stock top and bottom end
-T3/4 hybrid turbo
-Safc II
-Blitz SBC DC Boost controller
-JG-Fab log manifold
-Greddy Turbo Timer
-Greddy BOV
-Greddy Turbo timer
-Ebay intercooler piping which by the way fit great!
-Ebay FMIC
-Airfuel gauge and Boost gauge
-Turbonetics Wastegate
-Downpipe (We fabricated)
Whats too come that I have
-AEM Tru time cam gear
-Eagle fuel rail
-DSM blue top injectors
-maxspeed lowering springs
This is all sitting because right after we finished the install
I ended up dislocating, and fracturing my left elbow... as well
as tearing my bicep and other legaments
So I'm gonna be down for a while.
Pic of Injury/after surgery

One thing I can and am going to do is get this tuned this weekend,
hopefully, and have the cam gear installed.
Whats needed
-FPR
-Injector clips

Sorry if the pics don't do the trick I'll add more later!
Opinions are more than welcome... please keep
negative comments to yourself, I'm looking for helpful
insite, not looking for negativity. Thanks!

O and sorry if this is in the wrong place... I wanted to share and
have my question answered at the same time. Thanks, move if
it is PLEASE. Thanks.
Also this is a (very) low boost application obviously... don't worry I'm not being stupid.

Car doesn't look bad but needs a drop and a EX manifold...
As for your question, first off add a different manifold. Do the Y7 to Y8 swap its well worth it. Than as for the tune, get away from the SAFC and get a chipped ecu w/ crome/uberdata/hondata. Than have someone tune it for higher boost applications. If you looking for anything over 250hp, you will need to build the bottom end. Alot of people are getting good results out of the tuner toy rods and vitara pistons. Dseries are know for the head lifting during positive pressure (boost), so get some ARP head studs...

Re: (IWANTAHB)
Yeah, sounds like a good plan I was thinking about going
with a skunk 2 intake manifold.
Yeah I guess I can't get around building the bottom end lol
I'm in denial. but I guess now I know I can go that
direction.
Once my arm heals I'm gonna throw those Maxspeed lowering
springs on there, then she'll look real slick.

Re: (TH33G4MON3)
What do you guys think I could get for this car
if I decided to sell and go in a different direction?
And anyone else have any similar builds that
could tell me what path you guys took?
