Default Tunning Issues..?

My current situation and dilema.

I have a few parts on order, when recived were finish installation on the turbo kit and hopefully take it somewhere to get tunned. So i went to a local tunner, whos suposed to be certified or something for the aem ems, from what ive heard hes went to the training for it and all. So i went over to his shop, told him my setup and was trying to get a quote on a price for tunning. So when i told him my injector size (simena dekka 780cc) he got kind of eratic and said he could get a map going for those but hes had trouble making injectors that large idle. he recomended 450 - 550's. Ive read enough threads to know, go with what my tunner can handle, which in this case seems limited. (BTW, i am in illinois.) So, the way im looking at it now is to dum it down to a size he can work with, or find something else entireley to do.

I know its a one-sided post, but do you guys have any opinnions or suggestions that could shed some light on my situation?

well honestly, just because they are 'factory trained' doesnt mean they are competent

I would find yourself a new tuner, the aem should be capable of idling even 1600 cc injectors just fine.

The largest injectors ive used w/ the ems - 1000cc, it idled quite while at 850-900 rpms.

yeah thats a bit much to 'set it up' especially if he isnt confident he can get big injectors to idle....

****, you could fly me up there for that

Yeah if I was quoted 500 to get started I would rather fly mase up, feed and shelter him for that price . **** atleast you'll have peice of mind knowing that your car will be tuned right when he's done and finished imo.
