Default Tuning The Turbo? A Few Q?

Hey ppl i have a 96 civic 1.4i and im going to be installing a turbo on it very soon im a noob to turbos so everythings new to me. I already installed a full exhaust system on it aswell as a new, fuel pump, hondata. But i have no idea about tuning and the nearest place that could do this is say 20-30 miles away. I know you need to get it tuned before you can properly drive it but what exactly do they do to it? Also i have seen on forums that people run turbos with stock injectors and some are against it whats the best way to go? I just want a lil extra power with the turbo not really looking to maximise the powerformance on it.

Thanks

i paid more for my distributor than you did your entire turbo kit. thats a lower quality kit that probably wont last. anyway, i was being an ******* when i said 1600cc, thats wayyyy to big. get some 440cc-550cc injectors. you can order them from the sponsors

So when i get the injectors can i install them right away or should i wait for the turbo and do it together as the car is daily driven?

Also once i get the turbo on whats the chances of [freak]ing everything up driving to get it tuned?

stock ecu will not run with upgraded injectors. you obviously dont know much and i suggest not doing anything until its tuned. take your car to a shop and have them install and tune everything for you

You might be able to get away with installing the kit your self, although a kit like that requires a lot of modifications, it's not a straight bolt-on. If your pretty mechanical incline that is! Most important part of the build is management and tuning, so be sure you don't cheep-out on this. Once you have completed the physical installation is time for tuning but do NOT drive your car to your tuner, rather tow it there. Before you start to scrap your existing parts and replace them for cheap new ones, do some more research and get a little more comfortable and familiar with the entire build. Good luck!

I already have hondata installed and for the record i am a apprentice mechanic and i have a garage with fully qualified mechanics we just dont get much if any turbo work. the kit will get installed no problem, its tuning the kit thats the problem, and i stated that in my original post.

There are mechanics and there are tuners. Putting it together and tuning it are 2 totally different things. I'd find a competent tuner w/ that system.

Rather than trying to prove how challenged you are, try to implement your skills on writing and researching. Generally, people on this forum tend to give you advise for the sake of your engine and money saving tips. Don't take things the wrong way or feel that people are attacking you, instead take it for what it is. The advise or suggestions here can be taken or left for dead! Your asking what exactly do they do in tuning...if someone actually told you, you still couldn't tune the car your self without f*cking something up. You do NOT have the experience or knowledge, that's why we leave that **** for the proficient.

Yeah i know thanks, its tuning i really dont know anything about because thats one area i dont do in my work. Installing the turbo wont really be the problem its [freak]ing things up when it is installed.

I already have hondata s100 on the car the now, i got it cheap from a friend. If i bought injectors now would it be safe to put them on? The car is needed daily and the turbo kit is not going to come for a couple of weeks, so i want to get as much pre stuff done as possible.

Thanks

no you cant put the injectors on without a retune. stock injectors are 240cc and if they are at putting out xxx amount of fuel, then when you just drop some 550cc in; then its still at that same percent. that same percentage will put out a lot more fuel with the bigger injectors. see what im saying? it just wont work right without a retune.
