tuning a stock p72

I was wondering if it was possible to get a decent tune on a stock obd2 p72 ecu? Do i have to chip it or can it be done without it?

Nope, get an OBD1 P72 ECU and a conversion harness. Xenocron.com and Phearable.net have lots of info for you.
