so u did a valve adjustment after puttin in the new cams that are causing problems/?? thats what i was asking

Second off, vtec is deff switching over, so i would say more of a tune issue then
try a second program on the car just for *****/giggles, ive seen a tune get reflashed and work like crap reburn again then work fine

hope this helps

we tried like 10 different maps. Yes the valve adjustment was done on the gsr cams after installation and double checked before the dyno.

i would def take off the vtec solenoid and have a look at it, it sound like something could be clogged in there, also i would make sure your getting the corect voltage because it does sound like it is trying to engage but it might not be getting enough juice. also it cannot be the cams cuz it would run shitty from idle to redline not from vtec on.

which if vtec engages u have 2 reasons why u would lose power

1 tuning issue, maybe the vtec map is crappy or switchover to high or something in that nature, (map to rich or not enough timin for vtec etc)

2. mechanical issue as in not enough oil pressure to switch to high cam (no high cam with high cam map would be to much fuel which would take alot ofpower away)

could it be u r not gettin enough air, is this setup still turbocharged, if so i would lean towards the tune, sure way to find out if to lean or to much timing, pull off fpr vacuum line, cap it so no vacuum leak, this will cause car to run richer then drive it, if vtec still feels weak, or loss of power, i would say not to lean

good luck on swapping the cams, did u adjust dizzy timing after the swap as well, cant remember if anyone asked that yet or not

ya i always make sure to adjust the dizzy. I checked my camshafts right now and they are definately vtec cams. but either way me and a few people have come to a conclusion that it has to be the cams. So im going to change the cams friday or saturday and see if thats my problem.

pulling the vacuum line from the fpr will cause it to run richer in boost? Are you retarded?

haha, seriously. In theory it will just make it run richer under atmospheric...
